PharmaHealth Delivery Driver Calls 911 For Patient

Press Release – Oct. 10th 2008

DARTMOUTH - On Friday October 10th 2008, newly hired PharmaHealth Pharmacy delivery driver Fernando Raposo was dropping off medications to PharmaHealth patients. One particular delivery to a South Dartmouth patient warranted more than just a medication delivery.

Upon arriving at the South Dartmouth home, Mr. Raposo found both the front and rear doors open with screen doors and a dog barking, but no response from the resident inside. Determined to make the delivery, Mr. Raposo called the resident's house phone, receiving a quick "ok" to come inside. Once inside, the resident informed Mr. Raposo that he did not feel well and then collapsed in the hallway. Mr. Raposo immediately called 911 and stayed with the patient while waiting for emergency teams to arrive.
