A.I.D.S., INC Receives $1000.00 Donation from PharmaHealth Pharmacy at 14th Annual Bowl-A-Thon

This past Sunday, A.I.D.S., INC hosted their 14th Annual Bowl-A-Thon at Wonderbowl Lanes in New Bedford. The event was a huge success with about 250 bowlers showing up with their pledge sheets and bowling three strings each. Renting out 26 lanes, there was a about a 60% increase seen in the amount of youth and teens that showed up to support this cause. The bowlers helped raise $6,600 during the Bowl-A-Thon, and more donations are still expected to be turned in.
PharmaHealth Pharmacy was a large contributor to the cause, by presenting A.I.D.S., INC with a giant-sized $1,000.00 check. "That donation alone is going to greatly support the launch of our new food program," said Jim Coutinho, President of A.I.D.S., INC. PharmaHealth also handed out Special Prescription Savings Cards as an additional way to raise money for the organization. In return for filling prescriptions at PharmaHealth, for every card that is mailed back to Jim Coutinho, PharmaHealth Pharmacy will make a $5.00 donation to A.I.D.S., INC.
The Association of Individuals Dedicated & Sincere, Inc. "A.I.D.S., INC," is an Acushnet, MA based self - funding non profit organization. Since 1989, their organization has provided emergency financial assistance in basic needs categories such as: rent, utilities, and basic telephone, in addition to case by case assistance in many other areas, to individuals with HIV/AIDS in greater New Bedford & Fall River Massachusetts.
